Creditable

Creditable produces planning estimates, not financial, tax or legal advice. Confirm retirement pay, Survivor Benefit Plan, VA and Social Security figures with the official source before making an election, many of which cannot be undone.

Common questions

Does Creditable send my information anywhere?

No. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no server and no analytics.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Creditable needs no internet connection.

Where do the numbers come from, and how current are they?

From published sources: the 2026 military basic pay and allowance tables, federal tax brackets, VA compensation rates, Social Security rules, TRICARE fees, OPM's 2026 General Schedule and locality tables, and the statutes behind retired pay and the Survivor Benefit Plan. Each estimate in the app shows its source. We update the tables when new rates are published.

Why is my number different from my official estimate?

Creditable is a planning model built on your inputs and general rules. Your official figures come from your pay and personnel records, and small differences in dates, allowances or elections change the result. Always confirm with your finance office, DFAS, the VA or the Social Security Administration before you act.

Does it cover Guard and Reserve retirement?

Not yet. Creditable currently models active-duty retirement (High-3, BRS and REDUX) and separations before 20 years. Guard and Reserve points-based retirement is not modelled.

How do I move my plan to a new iPhone?

Creditable has no account or cloud sync. Your plan moves with your iPhone's own backup if you restore from iCloud or a computer backup. You can also export a PDF report to keep a copy of your figures.

Can my spouse use it too?

Each person can enter their own plan on their own iPhone.
