Little Compass: First Year

Little Compass provides general information for parents. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from your child's clinician. In an emergency, call 911.
Little Compass answers the question new parents actually have at two in the morning: is this normal, and do I need to call someone? Ask in your own words and get a short, calm answer written for your baby's age, along with a clear statement of when to stop reading and phone the pediatrician.
It is not another tracker. There are no feeding logs to keep up with and no sleep charts to fall behind on. Emergency guidance is always free and never sits behind a sign-in.
For iPhone, in the United States only, because the guidance follows US pediatric practice and the recall check queries US federal databases. Little Compass is in private testing and not yet on the App Store.
What it does
Answers for your baby's age
Ask about sleep, feeding, crying, skin, or anything else in the first year. Each answer says what may be going on, what you can try, and when to call.
Urgent help that never makes you search
Fever, choking, breathing trouble, an unresponsive baby, a suspected medication mistake. These screens are always free, work without a subscription, and never route through search.
Product recall check
Search the federal CPSC, FDA and NHTSA databases against the gear you actually own. Little Compass reports what each source said and whether every source answered, so you can see when a search was incomplete.
Car seat inspection stations
Find certified technicians near you who will check your installation, usually at no cost.
Checkups and questions
The well-child visit schedule with reminders, plus a place to save the questions you think of at 3am so you have them at the appointment.
Medication log
Record what was given and when. Little Compass never calculates a dose and never tells you a dose is safe.
