Terms of Use

Little Compass: First Year · Last updated October 13, 2026

Little Compass is published by GrayBear Studio. The app is licensed to you, not sold.

License

Your use of Little Compass is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). GrayBear Studio is the licensor named in that agreement. The points below add to it and do not replace it.

Not a medical device

Little Compass is an information product for parents of babies in the first twelve months. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose any condition, does not treat any condition, and does not provide medical advice.

It cannot tell you your baby is well

Nothing in the app can tell you that your baby is well. The app describes what is common, what to watch for, and when to seek care. It cannot examine your baby and it does not know your baby's history.

Medications

Little Compass does not calculate medication doses and will never tell you that a dose is appropriate. Follow the product label or your clinician's instructions. For a suspected overdose or the wrong medicine, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

Seek professional advice

Always seek the advice of your child's physician or another qualified health provider with any question you have about your child's health. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in this app.

Emergencies

If you believe your child is having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

Sources

The guidance in Little Compass is written from publicly available material from organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and the Food and Drug Administration. Referencing these organizations does not mean they endorse, review, or are affiliated with Little Compass.

Recall information

Recall information comes from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A search that returns no match does not mean a product is safe. It means those databases had no matching record at the time of the search.

Privacy

How the app handles your information is described in the Little Compass Privacy Policy.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
